Your wife just said about her new horse: “He’s got a lot of chrome. It’ll be a job to keep that clean.”
Don’t get your hopes up. She’s not going to suddenly be interested in helping you detail the car. The horse also does not come with side mirrors or bumpers.
She means her new horse has a lot of large white areas. Chrome refers to the bottom of the legs being white (in horse lingo, these white makings are called socks), and usually some white on the horse’s face also.
